In the game Absurdle, players try to guess each other's word in turn. Because several letters have been removed, it is difficult to distinguish each word. The only way to be positive is to inquire of your opponent whether any of the missing letters are in that term. If not, you are aware that word can contain that particular string of letters.
If you successfully rule out terms using these cues and your partner is unable to determine the correct response, you win.
